Which camera would you recommend?
Hi, I’ve recently come into about $300 and really want to buy a new digital camera. I’m really loyal to Sony; I had the DSC-N1 for a long time and loved it and I’ve used other Sony cameras and really liked them as well.
In any case, I’m not sure which camera I want to buy. There’s currently a refurbished camera which my friend bought called the DSC-H3 which is really cool because it has 10x optical zoom and a manual mode with shutter speed control which is important to me. However, I dislike the fact that it is not pants-pocketable; although my old camera got pretty scratched from me doing this so it might just not be a good idea to put a camera in your pants pocket anyway.
In any case, I’ve been browsing the Sony website and I’ve seen some other cameras that I reeeally like the design of that are still in my price range. These are the DSC-W120, W130, and W150. My favorite is the W150 because it has a huge lens which looks really cool. I’m about to run out of space so
I’ll just add more here! Anyway, I really like those cameras but they don’t seem to have manual modes. Also, I don’t know the difference between the models and I also haven’t read any user reviews to see which people like more.
So, if anyone has used one (or preferably more than one) of the cameras I mentioned or can suggest another one (I guess it doesn’t reeeeally matter if it’s not Sony, haha) that would be great.

Try Fuji, Panasonic, Olympus, Sony in addition to Canon and Nikon. They’re all good brands. You should also think about size, weight and ergonomics.

All you need to do is plug in what you want, and it gives you a comparison of different models. Don’t worry if you don’t know what the question means, just skip it and move on to the next question.
Then go to Amazon and do a search for the models you like and read the reviews.
If you want to continue using your Memory Sticks, you will have to stick with Sony products.
