Import settings for sony cybershot?
I have my very old Sony Cybershot (model number DSC-P72) and recently treated myself to an updated, pink, sony cybershot DSC-W120. I love both cameras, but I would like it if the import pictures process was the same… all it asks with the pink one is to tag it, and even with the “Always erase pictures after importing” under the options checked, it won’t do it…
I liked how my old camera import settings had the “Delete pictures after importing” RIGHT THERE in the import box under the prompt to tag the photos… now it doesn’t… and even with it checked under options, it doesn’t delete them out of my new camera… what changed? Is there any way to get the old settings back with the new camera?
I’m also new to Vista….. so it could be a very simple answer, lets hope so!
I just tested my old cybershot and realized the import settings was totally different.. I can’t pick & chose pictures anymore, they ALL upload on the computer with the new camera– and on vista, its so different from XP. ahh… someone help.. I shouldn’t have bought so much new technology at once.
Do you mean the camera’s card?? If so, the camera didn’t even come with one… I will buy a 2gb card when I get paid Friday, and I hope that will stop all the confusion– and I won’t import anything else until then.

Since you have been deleting the pictures instead of formatting the card, you may want to change your work-flow and after copying the image files to your computer, format the card using the format (or maybe it is called initializing on the Sony). This will refresh your card, write new file folders and write a new image index file. This will assure your card never becomes corrupted.
