Robert B asked:
I reloaded the memory stick back to my DSC-T300 cybershot and lost 4 days of pictures. Is it a bad memory stick , or did I do something wrong when removing the memorystick from camera.
Thanks

Let me see if I understand your question
You took your Memory Stick out of your camera and when you put it back in, you were missing some recent image files? Is that right?
If you took the memory card out of your camera with the camera turned on, there is a possibility that something could happen to the existing image files stored on the card.
Since memory cards are designed to last at least 25 years, the chances of your card being bad is pretty slim .. unless you removed or inserted the card while the camera was turned on, or you attempted to transfer some images from your computer to the card in hopes your camera would display them. This technique will not work … once the images are copied to the computer, you cannot copy them back to the memory card and expect the camera to recognize them
There is another way that image files can become corrupted. That is when you use the delete feature on the camera to delete images to make room for more image files. This is one way to nearly assure corrupting image files.
The best preventive measure is to copy all your image files from the memory card to your computer at the end of each shoot. Make sure that they all safely are on your computer and then delete the ones you don’t like using the large screen on your computer. Then before you use the memory card again, format it using the format feature on your camera.
